We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team!

Full-time Monday-Friday 8am-4pm role.

Excellent remuneration package up to $117k, plus superannuation.

About the Role: 

We are currently looking for a professional Mental Health Nurse to join our team at the Junee Correctional Centre. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering comprehensive, professional and quality nursing services within a Correctional setting. Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working with other Mental Health Nurses, your primary responsibility will be to provide psychiatric nursing services to the Centre and to assist in the provision of suicide prevention programs and strategies.

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.

Skills and Experience: 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Registered Nurse, with current AHPRA Registration.
  • Current working knowledge of the MHOAT system, NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  • Professional tertiary qualifications in Mental Health and/or a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in Mental Health/Psychiatric practice.
  • Proficient in the performance of the following functions: Medical Emergency, Physical assessment, Crisis intervention, Medical &Psychiatric nursing care and Venepuncture.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, in the delivery of mental health services.
