About the Role: 

With guidance from contractual obligations and internal policy and procedures, the Training Specialist is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, management and evaluation of the Junee Correctional Centre training portfolio. The role also includes Enterprise Registered Training Organization duties to ensure ongoing compliance and may include exposure to different functions of the Human Resources Department. 

The hours for this full-time role are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm and is a fixed task Maternity relief position approximately commencing at the end of March 2022. It is estimated the role will provide coverage until January 2023 however this may be extended or reduced pending the requirements of the Maternity relief.

Skills and Experience: 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or its successor).
  • Understanding of and interest in the management & coordination of workplace training and assessment in a diverse and challenging training environment. 
  • Experience and ability in the conduct of training and/or assessment; or relevant comparable skills and aptitude
  • High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisation & administrative skills including computer literacy and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Desirable - Experience within, or demonstrated understanding of, Custodial Services policies, procedures and practices & Cert III in Correctional Practice
